A Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP).

(MAP) sensor measures air pressure inside the intake manifold to help the engine computer (ECU) determine engine load, calculate air density, and manage fuel injection. Located in the intake manifold, it ensures optimal fuel mixture for performance. A bad MAP sensor causes rough idle, poor fuel economy, stalling, and check engine lights. P0106, P0107, or P0108

A broken engine Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor prevents the ECM from accurately calculating air-fuel ratios, leading to poor engine performance, rough idle, stalling, and significant fuel economy drops. Symptoms include check engine lights, hard starting, hesitation, and thick black exhaust smoke, often forcing the car into "limp mode"
