Throttle Position Sensor (TPS)

‍ ‍(codes P0120-P0124) the throttle valve's position in a car's engine to tell the computer how much air is entering, regulating fuel mixture and ignition timing. A failing TPS often causes rough idling, jerky acceleration, stalling, or a "check engine" light. It is usually found on the throttle body.

A broken Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) causes severe drivability issues, including jerky acceleration, rough idling, stalling, and reduced power, often triggering a check engine light (codes P0120-P0124). The vehicle may enter "limp-home" mode. Immediate steps include checking for loose wiring, cleaning the throttle body, and testing voltage with a multimeter, followed by replacing the unit
